Watercolor Wednesday: Selby Avenue in St. Paul

It’s another dreary day in Londontown, so I thought some bright colors might bring some cheer with today’s art by my dad. This is a scene from Selby Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota. I love the welcoming lights inside, beckoning people in from what looks like a crisp and cold day outside.

Would you stop there for a coffee and a chat?

    It reminds me of France!

Yes, with the blues and yellows… I only realized it was from St. Paul when I saw the name of the file that my dad had saved it as – I wondered if he had painted it from a photo from some of their European travels!

I would be happy to. Selby, Summit and Grand have a good selection of places for coffee 🙂
